Mother's Day gift

Yeh Yeh & Nai Nai's visit

Yeh Yeh and Nai Nai visited us last weekend, and we took them out for a treat to celebrate Ye Ye's birthday at Chef Chan's located in the National Museum of Singapore. It was also an excuse for us to check out the famous restaurant.

The chef has won many accolades from helming several big name Cantonese restaurants in the past. His current establishment have been cited by Miele (publishers of the Michelin guide) as one of Asia's Finest Restaurant. The restaurant has only 7 tables and patrons must make reservations at least one day in advance to dine there.

So is it worth all the hype? Well, let's put it this way - while the food is good, it is not that good, and certainly not worth the price tag. Ouch!

Outing to the Changi Kelong

A couple of weekends ago, we made the trip to the Changi coastline to check out what has been touted as a great kelong (Malay for fishing trap) to visit. Let's just say it's a mini kelong. Should head out to Kukup in Johor if you are looking for a real one.

Manipulative little one...

Sophie's way of getting out of finishing her food is to tell us, "Mamma / Baba, I left these 2 apples for you!"

That night, I rolled my eyes and replied, "Yah, yah, yah...you just don't want to eat them...".

Without losing a beat, she unleashed the full force of her puppy eyes at me, and chimed, "It's good for didi (little brother), right? It's good for you, right?"

The rest of the family

I finally had time to process the bunch of photos taken during CNY in January. YL went crazy with the multiple exposure feature in his camera, so I literally had hundreds to sort through.

Here are pictures of Sophie with the rest of the Chan family.

Shower Cap

Sophie's new shower cap in the shape of an elephant. We got it in Bangkok. She has never been so enthusiastic about taking her showers after that.
