Sophie is apparently quite the popular kid in her class despite her cool and reclusive manner. Her teachers tell us that the other kids look out for her all the time, and want to be her friend. I do notice it too, as her friends will call out to her and bid her goodbye almost exclusively when I pick her up after school.

Following Che Che's example
Ju has started to gum and suck his fingers and thumbs. We're all hoping that it will be a short phase and he won't decide to follow his Che Che's footsteps in thumb-sucking. Sophie is still sucking her thumbs at 4 years old.

Another smile
I've been complaining about Ju being a grumpy baby and a crybaby. It's all true.
But he can also be very smiley and chatty after his milk & nap. Popo is absolutely in love with him, both of them chatting in baby language whenever he is in the mood.

Sophie's Concert
With all the attention on Ju recently, we just want to clarify that we have not neglected (well, not completely anyways) Sophie. In fact she is out now with her Baba on one of her almost weekly father-daughter bonding outings. They've gone to catch a performance of The Jungle Book, leaving Mama to produce more milk for the insatiable Didi and Popo to calm him while he bawls for his milk.
Last Friday was Sophie's yearend concert. We all went to catch it, including Didi. I must say he enjoyed the performance because Popo happily declared he never once fussed, but just quietly laid on her lap while the children danced and the music blared.
Sophie was extremely excited and proud to introduce her Didi, stopping all her friends to tell them, "This is my brother!", "Come and see my brother!", etc.

My Che Che & I
Sophie reading to her Didi
The bolster is there to ensure Sophie does not accidentally flip over and kick her brother. Actually she already did that.
The Cousins
Ju's cousin, Isabelle, is just 2 weeks older. But they are worlds apart in terms of temperament. Isabelle sleeps all day, and is slim and delicate. Ju cries all day, and is round and rough (literally - he has been having this skin rash for 2 weeks).
Sis-in-law has posted some nice pictures of the two below:

They look cute in their rockers, during those rare queit moments when Ju actually sleeps
Spot the difference
Answer: Baba is balder, Mamma is fatter. The bab(ies) are both equally chubby, round, and fussy.
First picture was taken 4 years ago with Sophie. Second was taken a week ago with Julian.
