A Week in KL

We took a week off work to spend it at home in KL. Friends advised to take a break somewhere lest we be bored; family said it will be a good opportunity to rest and relax. On the contrary, we were scurrying about Klang Valley all week, clocking hundreds of km on our new car every day.

One week later, YL and I sat down with puzzled faces and asked ourselves, “What did we do in the last 6 days? Are we heading back to Singapore tomorrow already??” We still have no idea. All we know is that the adage “time flies when you’re having fun” now has a solid new meaning.

Picnic at TTDI park – Excellent outing with the Tohs, Yees, and Lais. Even Kau Fu Chai (Cantonese for mother’s younger brother) ponteng class (Malay for skipping class) to join Sophie and Popo to terrorise the fishes in the tiny stream meandering through the park. The skies were blue, and the haze cleared because it rained the night before.

Genting Highlands – YL & I last visited when we were still dating, 7 years ago. It was Sophie’s first time, and halfway through her hedonistic mission to go on every ride, she grew pensive and told me, “Mamma, I will be so sad to leave Genting later. I like it so much here...”

Cable car ride up to Genting

Sophie took this picture for us. Hehehe...now we have a little helper for couple shots

Yeah, one week passes by too quickly, doesn't it?
Mud, haha!!!
And yes, we are now known as aunties. Gorgeous, blossoming ones, nonetheless.
Sophie looked soooo happy in Genting. Maybe next time we can make another trip up together.

So much fun..

Really longing for a break. Have not really gone on a family holiday in a long long time. Even if it means going back to Ipoh for a few days would be great.. The last we went on a holiday was just a day trip to Genting in July :(

Japan in Summer
