Our second UK road trip this summer was to see the Roman Bath in - where else - Bath, the Neolitihic ruins of Stonehenge and the Avebury circles, and the Salisbury Cathedral where one of four copies of the Magna Carta is housed. This time round, Christine & Kit Mun very bravely took up the challenge of being on the road with us.
Stonehenge's mystical powers must be in full force that weekend, because Sophie took her first steps - well, first 10 or so steps - in the clear green plains where Stonehenge magnificently stands. She was rather well-behaved that weekend. Even though the drive back to London from Salisbury took over 4 hours due to some accidents on the M3 highway, she restrained herself to leave us four adults reasonably sane upon arrival in London.
