British Museum

The British Museum is one of London's most visited places, with over 6 million visitors annually. It is a massive repository of treasures (or rather, stolen goods, according to some) from all over the world, including the Rosetta stone, the Elgin marbles, and the Dunhuang documents.

We joined the crowds and Aileen last Saturday but only arrived around 3pm, so we explored only the Ancient Egypt galleries. Surrounded by mummies, artworks and treasures, we wandered around for 1.5 hours before calling it a day.
