Snow in London


This picture was taken from the balcony of our house 3 weeks ago, when it snowed in London for the first time this winter. You can make out the murky silhouette of the skyscrapers in Canary Wharf in the distance.

Snow in London is a very rare occurence and is cause for great excitement, although it can also be of the unwelcomed kind, especially for the working population. Tube lines go down, pavements turn slippery, and classy workboots get soaked.

For us, it was a nice distraction from our sodden hearts, missing the tropical weather back home, our families and Sophie...
