Soph lost her two front teeth a couple of weeks ago. Initially she was impatient for her milk teeth to fall, as several of her classmates in Paris had already lost theirs. Then when they finally started to wiggle, she grew anxious over the imminent pain. Finally, when they were gone, she resents her Baba's teasing about her being a baby with no teeth, and the tricky bit of serrating her food.
Today as she was complaining yet again about not being able to eat her kai lan, Ju wondered aloud about our topic of conversation. So she pointed impatiently at the gap in her mouth to show her brother what the fuss was about.
He shot her another confused look, frowned, and then shrugged his shoulders and hands, and said, "But I didn't take them!".
